Global Climate Change Planetary Emergency

Climate Emergency Institute

Climate change is set to inflict “severe, widespread, and irreversible impacts”

on people and the natural world unless carbon emissions

are cut sharply and rapidly.

Welcome to the Climate Emergency Institute.

I'm Peter Carter, founder and director of CEI. The climate emergency has been widely acknowledged.

The purpose of this site is threefold:

  1. to show the increasing science evidence of the increasingly dire climate emergency
  2. to portray the human dimensions of the climate emergency
  3. to outline the urgently needed emergency measures and responses (IPCC AR6)

Dr. Peter Carter, at International climate change conference in Washington, DC

This site has the comprehensive proof of the now dire planetary emergency and that the world economy has the world on a fast track for biosphere collapse.

PLANETARY EMERGENCY IS DIRE BUT IGNORED

o The global climate emergency has been widely acknowledged

o World governments and corporations plan to keep emitting record       quantities of greenhouse gases.

o GLOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE CHANGE IS ACCELERATING

o Climate change indicators are at record highs and accelerating higher,

some tracking the very worst-case scenario.

o Climate change impacts are happening decades sooner than projected

o Several catastrophic amplifying feedbacks have been triggered

o Call for emissions decline by 2020 for 2°C started with 2007 IPCC AR4    repeated in 2022 by IPCC AR6

o But the only plans are for continued and increased emissions, which are at record high
